Jack Kemp

It was very sad to hear of the passing of Jack Kemp over the weekend. A real man of ideas, convictions and principles. Without him, and his pursuading of Ronald Reagan to get behind the ideas of supply-side economics, the U.S. would have never enjoyed the economic boom of the last 25 years. He was a pretty good quarterback too, leading the Buffalo Bills to the AFL championship in 1956 & 1966. He missed the first Super Bowl by only a year. But we all are better off for having him as a member of government, first as a 9 time representative from Buffalo, and then as GHW Bush's HUD secretary. Sadly gone.
